- SuperBrawl happened and Dave was there. Notable things: the crowd HATED the Oz debut and Dave says it was one of the most embarrassing things he's witnessed as a wrestling fan.

- Sid Vicious showed up and did the job to El Gigante. Sid's contract with WCW doesn't technically end until September, but they have agreed to grant him his early release after this show. Word going around is that if Sid didn't show up, they wouldn't release him and he'd be stuck until September so that's probably why he showed. Even WWF encouraged Sid to show up, even though they knew it would mean their new star would be doing a clean job right before coming to them. After taking the pin, Sid simply got out of the ring and walked away without doing the stretcher job and he's now WWF-bound.

- And lastly regarding SuperBrawl, Dave says Sting/Luger vs. The Steiners was one of the best matches of the year (he gave it 4½ stars).

- After The Arena in St. Louis granted WCW a show, WWF pulled out of their deal with the building. Now, WWF is planning a huge baseball stadium show at Busch Stadium in STL. Odds are WCW can only draw around 2000 people to The Arena, while WWF is expected to draw upwards of 20,000 for the baseball stadium show. They figure that should be enough for The Arena to dump WCW and come crawling back to WWF and Dave thinks they're probably right.
- Due to the piss poor ratings of the last couple of shows, it looks like WWF's deal with NBC for Saturday Night's Main Event shows is dead (yup, although they ended up doing 2 more episodes of SNME in 1992, but they were on Fox, which we'll get to later.). It's not an absolute disaster necessarily, but it's definitely a significant blow because the SNME specials were WWF's largest viewing audience and their biggest chance to hook mainstream, casual fans.
- The TV show Candid Camera approached WCW about using one of their wrestlers (The Diamond Studd, aka Scott Hall) on their show, but since he's so new there, WCW didn't have any footage of him for the Candid Camera people to use. So they went to Herb Abrams who gave them Bam Bam Bigelow instead. So Bam Bam should be on an episode of that soon.

- At a TWA show, Cactus Jack faced Eddie Gilbert in a barbed wire match. It ended up being a no-contest after Cactus ended up tangled in the barbed wire. His fiancé (now wife) even came down to the ring concerned because they were having trouble getting him out.

- WWF employee Jerry Brisco took questions for 30 minutes on a public access show in Tampa and it got ugly, with callers grilling him about all the things WWF probably never wants to acknowledge, from WCW to steroids (Brisco claims he knows for a fact that Hulk Hogan hasn't used steroids in years. Looooool).
- Steve Keirn is definitely coming in as the Gator Man (dammit, Dave, no....)
- The TV show Hard Copy is working on a story about the Ultimate Warrior, saying that Jim Hellwig used to be a homosexual prostitute before becoming a wrestler, which is a story the Globe tabloid wrote about the week before. What the fuck?!?! WWF's response so far has been to just ignore it and hope it goes away. I googled and can't find anything about this.
- The rest of the issue is a transcript of a Terry Funk interview that I'm sure is probably interesting, but it's waaaaaaay long so just no thanks.
