- The planned Wrestlemania 8 card has been changed internally and Hogan vs. Flair will no longer be happening. The big reason is that Hogan is planning to take off for 5 months after WM and thus it wouldn't make sense for him to beat Flair for the title. So instead of jobbing Hogan out at Wrestlemania and having a heel leave with the title, they're just not going to do the match. Instead, it will be a double main event of Hogan vs. Sid Justice (who turned officially turned heel on Hogan at the taping for the upcoming Saturday Night's Main Event special) and Macho Man vs. Ric Flair for the title. On television, they are still planning to announce Hogan vs. Flair but they will later shoot an angle where Hogan pulls out of that match in order to get revenge on Sid instead.
- WCW's Clash of the Champions was a critical success, with most considering it a very good show, but the bad news is that the ratings were still terrible, tying the rating for last September's event as the lowest rated Clash in history.
- Regarding the Clash, sort of a famous story in the Cactus Jack/Van Hammer falls count anywhere match. For starters, Dave raves about how great Cactus is but wishes he would tone it down a little for his own health. Yeah, so much for that ever happening. Then he talks about Missy Hyatt being dumped in the water trough, which wasn't planned (in one of those Legend's Roundtable things on the WWE Network, Mick Foley tells the story of that match and says Dusty Rhodes told Mick and Abdullah to "throw the girl in the water" as a rib on Missy, and so they did).
- Regarding Bret Hart potentially going to WCW, he was offered a $300,000 guarantee (basically the same as Rick Rude's ridiculous contract) to jump ship and Bret accepted before realizing his WWE contract doesn't actually expire until September. Chances are WWF will be making a strong attempt to keep Bret, so he will probably be getting a big push later this year when his contract is due up (boy, did he ever...)
- Billy Graham went on a radio show and made allegations of Hulk Hogan doing cocaine back when they were in AWA together in the 80s. Dave contacted several other wrestlers who were there at the time and a couple of them corroborated Graham's story, which isn't necessarily a surprise, since cocaine use in the wrestling business in the 80s was well-known to be rampant. It's tempting to feel sorry for Hogan since he has become the sole public scapegoat when it comes to drugs in wrestling, despite the fact that he's far from the only one guilty of doing it. But on the other hand, he plays the part of role model to children and in the face of overwhelming public scrutiny, he has chosen to continue lying rather than own up to what everyone already knows. Meanwhile, major newspapers and media outlets throughout the country continue to produce big, damaging stories on this scandal and it's clearly not going away any time soon.
- Mexican star Konnan (who is currently appearing in a popular soap opera there) is headed to WWF, where he will likely be wrestling under the name Latin Fury (still nope). Konnan also has both a sci-fi movie and a rap album coming out soon (only Konnan rap I could find was the stuff he did in the mid-90s when he was with WCW. Couldn't find anything from 1992).
- The Undertaker will be traveling to Japan in March to work shows for SWS and there's some question on how a gimmick character like him will get over with the Japanese audience.
- Sting vs. Rick Rude is doing big business for WCW house shows lately, but Rude is only contracted to a limited number of dates and WCW has to be careful not to burn through them all. Rude will likely be demanding a big raise to stay after his dates run out and considering how hot he is right now, you have to figure WWF will make an attempt to get him back also.
- Speaking of WCW contracts, Brian Pillman, Ricky Steamboat, and Paul E. Dangerously's deals are all set to expire soon if WCW doesn't re-sign them.
- Paul Orndorff is interested in coming into WCW now that Jim Herd is gone. The company is also trying to lock Jesse Ventura into a multi-year announcing contract.
- At a TV executives convention recently, WCW sent El Gigante, Bill Kazmaier, and Madusa to represent the company. Word is El Gigante made quite an impression and there's a good chance he'll get some roles in upcoming James Bond movies as a monster heel, replacing Richard Kiel (or as Dave refers to him, "the late Richard Kiel" except Kiel didn't die until 2014, so since this was written in 1992, Dave is obviously a time traveler. Also, no, El Gigante never got to be in a Bond movie).
- Word is that Ted Dibiase and Shawn Michaels will be put together as a tag team soon, which Dave says would instantly probably be among the top 5 tag teams in the world. Never happened though.
- Latest on Ultimate Warrior is that those close to him say he has no interest in returning to wrestling.
- WBF is preparing to takeover the AAU's (Amateur Athletic Union) bodybuilding division as a feeder system for their organization (the NXT of bodybuilding basically). They're also working on a deal with Gold's Gym as the "preferred gym chain of the WBF."
